Photo ID, Social Security numbers or ITINs for everyone on the return, and last year’s return if available.
Income & expenses
W-2s, 1099s, retirement statements, and records of business or rental income and expenses.
Credits & refund
Records for dependents, childcare and education, health insurance marketplace forms if applicable, and bank details for direct deposit.
